EXPOSURE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP BY RHONSON NG AND JOJIE ALCANTARAMay 10, 2012
June 26-27, 2010 : Thirteen participants went through a full day of shooting and then another day of post processing guided by photojournalists Rhonson Ng and Jojie Alcantara, whose works have been published locally and internationally for years now. The Exposure Workshop is all about capturing good images and having confidence in oneself to have their works recognized. The two-day workshop ended with a photo competition and an exhibit at the SM Mall. Organized by FotoKitchen and supported by generous sponsors who gave so many items, this workshop has brought fun, satisfaction and inspiration to the lucky participants and everyone involved as well. The photo contest winner, Icon Jen Chua, went home with a brand new printer from Canon. All photos were printed by Canon as well. Special thanks to Davao City Tourism Operations Office. In this one day Photography Workshop, participants will leave with the ability to document work with continuous lighting, setup professional backgrounds and lighting, and understand various camera settings with either digital or film based cameras. This workshop will emphasize the digital media and cover the techniques necessary for creating prints, slides, and digital images for such applications as juried exhibitions, Zapplication, art fairs, documentation, grant applications, catalogues and the web. The first part of the workshop will be a photo shoot of participants artwork while the second part of the workshop Tony will give a slide show covering related issues and demonstrate editing techniques on participant's work in Photoshop Elements. Tony will also discuss some of the commercial products available for professionally photographing your artwork and will bring a lighting setup specifically for 3D as well as 2D artists.
